Writing this tribute is especially poignant for me since my husband Ken died last November. But, I am writing for both of us as he loved Jill like I did – who wouldn’t? She was such a lovely person. In particular, when Ken became DVC, first with Michael Bourn, then with Tim, our social life expanded from the Geography department and we made many new friends. This was made easy because Jill went out of her way to welcome us, appearing by our side at social functions, going out of her way to introduce me to many new faces. And, once we were friends with the Holts, the rest was easy! This message is written from the bottom of my heart, with deepest sympathy to all Jill’s family.
