I first met Jill in the early 1991 when we were both enrolled on a counselling course in Chichester. At the time we both lived in Southampton so we travelled up and down together, our friendship deepening over the two years. Jill had a special sparkle. I remember her always smiling and laughing. She had a lively, enquiring mind and cared deeply for for people. Even though I later moved away we still stayed in touch through lively Christmas cards where we updated each other about our lives.
